The Junior League of Louisville Announces Founders’ and Spirit of the League Award

The Junior League of Louisville (JLL) held its first annual Founders and Spirit of the League Award Reception on Thursday, May 11 at the Henry Clay.  The event was sponsored by Kosair Charities and was a wonderful celebration of the many contributions and successes of the award recipients’.

Award winners were as follows:

Founders Award – Mollie Smith

Created in 1982 the Founders’ Award honors a Junior League of Louisville Sustainer for her ongoing impact in the Louisville Community. It is the most prestigious award given by the Junior League of Louisville to honor a woman who has used her League training to continue to contribute to the betterment of our community. This award is intended for a member who is community minded, lives the mission of the JLL through her actions and services and inspires others to reach their dreams with courage, strength and love to others.

Spirit of the League – Randy Coe, Kosair Charities

The Spirit of the League Award was inaugurated in 2017 by the Board of Directors to honor the outstanding contribution on a non-League group or individual who not only supported the Junior League of Louisville but who also exemplify the Junior League’s mission as well as to provide a significant and sustained commitment to the Louisville community through service and leadership.
