Mission, Vision, and Values

OUR MISSION

The Junior League of Louisville, Inc. (JLL) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

VISION STATEMENT

We have a shared vision of the organization, which is to be a catalyst for community change.

REACHING OUT STATEMENT

The Junior League welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations, and communities.  The JLL reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.

The JLL accomplishes its mission through the actions of women who share the same organizational values.

AJLI

The Junior League is a national association (AJLI). AJLI was founded in 1901 by social activist Mary Harriman. The Junior League has evolved into one of the oldest, largest, and most effective women’s volunteer organizations in the world, encompassing 150,000 women in 291 Leagues in four countries.
