Tulips & Juleps Goodbye

Dear Junior League of Louisville Supporter,

We would like to sincerely thank you for participating in Junior League of Louisville’s Tulips & Juleps Art and Gift Market in 2019. Your participation helped us raise thousands of dollars to further the mission of the Junior League of Louisville (JLL) while empowering women to make lasting community change. The JLL would like to announce that we have made the difficult decision to sunset Tulips & Juleps. While our markets have been part of our League’s history for over a decade, we are choosing to focus our fundraising efforts in a different way, appealing to our audience through our mission.

We are excited to share that there will still be ways to support our local community through the League! One way you can continue that support is by participating in our second annual Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI).  During the week of February 23 – 28, JLL will be launching an awareness campaign highlighting the impacts of poverty on education for families in our community. JLL and community members will wear the same black attire all week to serve as a small simulation of the limited resources people in poverty face. We will have events all week long, including a training for our members and the community on the effects of poverty, service opportunities to address these effects, and a ticketed wrap-up celebration on Friday, February 28th featuring a silent auction, bourbon and wine pull, and more. As always, funds raised will support our mission to develop women as civic leaders and serve as catalysts for lasting change in our community. We hope that you will follow along during our social media campaign, consider participating by wearing your own black attire all week, donate to our silent auction or become a donor or sponsor of one of our events. For more information about LBDI and opportunities to support this initiative please email LBDI@juniorleaguelouisville.org.

Thank you,

The Junior League of Louisville
